My name is Shantelle, and I am a 19-year-old young lady hailing all the way from the Gauteng province, South Africa; in a township known as Tembisa. I come from a single parent
headed household where my mother has always strived to do the best that she can to provide despite our financial hardships.
I was introduced to Seventh Day Adventism at a fairly young age since my elder sister is an
Adventist, however at that time I was too young to understand all the pillars of our faith and
gradually I began being attracted to the things of the world. It wasn’t until the year 2024 that
I began hearing God speak to me personally, wooing and drawing me to the truth through
the agency of the Holy Spirit. The Lord made me see my great need for Him in my life as my
Savior and King, that’s when I surrendered my entire heart to Him, asking for grace sufficient
to overcome sin and be transformed into His lovely image from glory to glory.
Prior to my conversion I had decided to pursue a degree in Psychology and due to our desperate financial situation, my mother took up a student loan with the bank and placed our
