OUT of TIME
Hephzibah Farm and
Health Education Center
It9s been a busy month down on the
farm. One-third of the irrigation system
has been installed, bringing water to the
plants and making it easier to keep the
trees and beds watered. This is going to
save a lot of time, especially since all this
is on a timer.
The tractor was also fixed. We had some
issues getting it started, but now it9s back
up and running, able to shift bucket
loads of dirt around.
One of our rabbits had a baby. Baby
rabbits are called kittens. We9re leaving
mother and baby alone so that they
can thrive.
The new kid is doing well and will soon
have to vacant his place with the females and join the male goats.
My children found three kittens. That
brought our total number of cats up to
6. You know we don9t have any rodent
problems! We9ve given two of the kittens
away to friends. I hope that they are
useful on their country property.
We9ve been really impressed with the
velvet bean which is still growing and
producing beans. Next season, we9re
going to have to plant a whole bed of
velvet beans.
We9ve been propagating the strawberry
plants. We want to have two beds of
strawberries.
We9ve had two 109x169 sheds installed.
This has allowed us to empty the trailer
and move the trailer to church. We will
also use the shed for tool organization
and storage.
The rest of the building project is still very
frustrating. It9s back to square one and
getting permits for all the structures that
we want on the property. This is more
than frustrating, but it is what it is. So we9ll
start the process and hopefully make
some progress.
Many thanks to the volunteers who
come up from time-to-time to help us
with the farming. We enjoy your fellowship and your hard work. Please contact
us if you want to visit, help, donate or just
hangout with us. Continue to pray for this
outpost so that it can be finished in time
for when the remnant people of God
need it.
