PREPARING TO STAND MINISTRIES
Just finished putting this together in preparation for a wilderness survival
class and thought I'd share it.
The main premise here is:
(1) On a simple Sabbath afternoon hike, most people typically don't
bring ANYTHING! How could they meet their needs if they had to spend
more time, (like overnight?) out in nature?
(2) Also thinking about those whose first wilderness trip is when we have
to flee there in the end-times, and they try to bring EVERYTHING, but not
actually bring what they NEED --as is typically done by many people on
their first overnight wilderness trip. But, then they end up dumping their
pack due to having to flee from an angry mob, as described in EW 56.
Based on the several verses and quotations about God being able to
spread a table for His people in the wilderness, how could those in the
above two scenarios get what they needed from God's "table?"
The last column also talks about how we could be better prepared for
both of these scenarios with a light-weight kit of key items for processing
what God provides in nature?
What I envision is putting this up on a big white board and working
through it point by point --leaving the last column until last.
A hand-out sheet could also be made up with only the headings filled in
and the boxes left blank to be filled in by those attending the class.
Subsequent classes would demonstrate / teach how these various items
would be made and used.
Note:
(1) When it says: 'twigs' or 'sticks,' a specific types of wood may be
needed. And when it says 'stones,' a particular type of rock would be
necessary.
(2) Note the most common tools needed to process what God provides
in nature in the 5th column.
