What does the end times look like? What can we expect to see and
experience as those final events break upon this world? Will it be much
different to what we are experiencing now.
I9ve been an Adventist all my life. And I9ve never seen so many pertinent
current events and signs of the time that what we are experiencing now.
There are these categories that signs fall in to:
1. Natural disasters: fire, flood, famine, disease
2. Geopolitical strife, wars and the preparation for war
3. Events related to the Occult. Witchcraft becoming mainstream
4. Events related to the Papacy and her daughters
5. Developments within the Adventist Church.
In all these areas there has been significant signs and omens pointing to the
imminency of the Second Coming. But just like it was in Noah9s day, the
philosophers, doctors, intellectuals are rationalizing away what is occurring. It
seems that every natural disaster or extreme weather occurrence is the result
of climate change. The put labels to behaviors and call is narcissism or bipolar, or something else. What we need to do is to acknowledge that God is
sending his people a prolific number of signs to awaken them out of slumber
and to motivate them to take action and prepare for what is coming to the
world as an overwhelming surprise. We do not need to be surprised. We are
without excuse and will be guilty of a sin of negligence if we fail to see that
what is happening around us is unprecedented. God help us to open our
eyes and hear what the Spirit is trying to tell us.
